CELEBRATE THE FIRST DAY OF SPRING WITH FREE ITALIAN ICE!

Seventeen years ago, Rita’s began giving away a free, regular size Italian Ice to every guest to mark the first day of spring! This is a sweet date for Italian Ice lovers, and each year, hundreds of thousands of our guests visit Rita’s in search of the first taste of spring.

A Philadelphia-born springtime tradition, the annual Rita’s giveaway is held from noon to 10 p.m. at each and every Rita’s location.

Be sure to mark your calendars to celebrate the first day of spring with Rita’s on March 20, 2010! This is a tasty tradition you do not want to miss!

Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation

Rita’s and Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation are fighting childhood cancer one cup at a time!

In 2006, Rita’s Water Ice became a proud corporate partner of Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF), a not-for-profit organization dedicated to funding pediatric cancer research and finding a cure for the disease. Named in honor of the late Alexandra “Alex” Scott, the foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) public charity, has raised more than $13 million to fight the disease that claimed her namesake’s life. Over the last 3 years, Rita’s franchise partners, Treat Team Members, and Guests at over 600 Rita’s stores in 19 states have raised over 1.9 MILLION DOLLARS for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. WOW! I hope you will join us in this fight during our next signature paper lemon fundraiser in June 2010. Rita’s on the Road

We have a great program to make your next event or fundraiser a really COOL one!!!

Rita’s will come to you and serve your friends and guests our famous and delicious Italian Ice… at no charge(up to 300 people)! Our Rita’s on the Road program is available for school, church, community events, new business grand openings, fundraisers, fairs, festivals… you name it, we will help your event be the talk of the town! Our availability is based on a first come/first served basis so do not delay in filling out the form found on our contact us page. Please include your organization or business name, contact person and phone number, date, time, and location of your event and your expected number of guests.

Celebrity Scooper

What could be more fun for your school or organization than a fundraiser at Rita’s Iralian Ice?

We have a fun and exciting way for your school/organization to raise money. The “Celebrity Scooper Event” works this way…you and some of your faculty work shifts in our store for a two to three hour period. You don’t actually scoop the ice or make products; our Treat Team members do everything! Your role is to stand at the counter, greet, interact, and take the orders from our guests. It’s that simple and it’s so much fun! We provide a Rita’s T-shirt and hat (how cool is that?) and we set up a stand outside the store for your students and staff to collect donations for your fund raising event!

We will provide a electronic flyer for you to print and post in your school or organization and send home with students or give out at meetings. We will put up a sign and hand out flyers to promote your event in our store as well. Our mascot, Ice Guy, will make an appearance! In addition to the money raised at the stand outside, we donate 20% of our proceeds from all purchases made during the event. Rita’s of Knoxville is proud to be a part of our community, and this is a great activity to bring everyone together for a good cause and an evening of wholesome family fun! Students are thrilled to have their principal or a teacher greeting them at our store and a great time is had by all.

We schedule these events from Monday - Thursday.
